Betty (Phillips) Owens

Betty Owens, age 83, of 804 Wood Street, Cumberland, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, August 12, 2018, after a long illness.

She was born April 08, 1935, unto the union of the late Frank and Fannie Connor Phillips. Betty believed in the Baptist faith and previously attended Gilliam Chapel Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife to the late Ray Owens. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going hunting.

She is preceded in death by her sons, Rick Owens, Gary Owens, and David Owens, brothers, Clayton Phillips, George Phillips, Earl Phillips, and Bill Phillips, sisters, Nell Myers, and Faye Phillips.

She leaves to mourn her passing, son, Jim (Beverly) Owens of Richmond, KY, daughters, Chrissy (Joey) McKenzie of Louisville, KY, Sherry (Rodney) Sturgill and Kimberly Owens all of Cumberland, KY, sisters, Louise Shephard of Cumberland, KY and Rose Styles of Louisville, KY., as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family and friends.
