Amos Jackson, age 65, of Lynch, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at his residence.
Amos was born on July 31, 1953, unto the union of the late Amos, JR and Lula Pearl Melton Jackson in Lynch, KY. He worked as a coal miner for U.S. Steel and then later became employed and retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation and was a member of the Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.
He leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Vergie Borders Jackson of Lynch, KY, son, Thadius Jackson of Portsmouth, Ohio, daughter, Nikki (Andrê) Jackson-Kyle of Portsmouth, Ohio, brothers, Winfred Lamar (Linda) Jackson of Cumberland, KY, Rutland (Maye) Melton of Lynch, KY, sisters, Jacqueline Carter & Charlotte (Howard) Bridges both of Columbus, Ohio, and Renee Melton of Lynch, KY, four grandchildren, Kailyn Boggs and Ky’re Allsion, Corey Allison, JR, Dontavian Parker.
