Alberta Holts

Alberta Holts, age 85 of Lynch, Kentucky, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Monday, July 4, 2022, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. 

Alberta was born on February 4, 1937, unto the union of her late parents, Johnnie and Lottie Mason Pettygrue.   She was the wife of the late William Holts, Jr.
 

Alberta was a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years.  She retired from the Harlan Daniel Boone Clinic in Harlan, Kentucky.   She was a dedicated, professional, caring lady.  It was in her nature to put others before herself.   She was a strong Holiness faith-based member of Triumph The Church Kingdom of God in Christ, where she held the position of County Mother and County Secretary for over thirty-five years.

Other than her late parents and husband, she leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Ricky (Julia) Holts of Cumberland, Kentucky, Gilbert (Reatha) Holts, Sr., Gilbert Holts, Jr. all of Bowling Green, Kentucky, daughters, Freida Holts of Lynch, Kentucky, Vonda (Sam) Shuff of Louisville, Kentucky, Keisha Holts of Bowling Green, Kentucky, brothers, Ernest (Rose) Pettygrue of Indianapolis, Indiana, Thomas Pettygrue of Detroit, Michigan, John (Mary) Pettygrue of Inkster, Michigan, Howard (Jeanette) Pettygrue of Belleville, Michigan, sisters, Sally Mae Davis of Covington, Kentucky, Hazel Weaver of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Yvonne (Guy) Huddleston of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Sharon Cook of Marietta, Georgia, Sheila Pettygrue of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 11 am to 12 noon at the Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church at 409 1st Street in Lynch, Kentucky.
 

Funeral services will follow Saturday at the church beginning at 12 noon with Elder Mary Rose Traylor officiating.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
